Put gas and stabilizer in it for the winter. Then put it up on the bike lift for more winter mods. Let the fun begin!

Default No ridin'

So far today I've pulled the starter. Next will be the rest of the wires and the oil pump. Then clean, clean, clean before masking and then I'm painting the crank case, primary and cam covers and cylinders.

I already posted on this thread last weekend, but it's still going. So I'll add that, following Alabama's trouncing of Auburn yesterday, I worked on an old Camaro and rode the Sportster 86 miles to a local salvage yard tracking down a used part.

Excellent ride., excellent. I ain't never going to get rid of my Sportster. When my time is up I want my folks to go ahead and bury it with me. That's all I want in the great hereafter, really.

Yep. Can't stand that gray. Stains appear from out of nowhere and they can't be permanently removed.

I removed all my exhaust, "crossover tube", and drive belt cover in preparation of installing my new SikPipes exhaust going on this week! Also, Began making custom license plate mount out of the factory drive guard, and making shims for my shifter peg, which is a little sloppy.

Went for a run up to the pub and then the sky opened up like a faucet. =) Still got some saddle time in and that's all that mattered. Cheers!
