The old style cover can be fitted to to a 77 up engine the cover must be machined and a new pinion bushing fitted. Someone has a thread covering the swap and mods required http://xlforum.net/forums/s...gneto+retrofit |

Mag can go on the 45 as originally intended. Wiring is a pain but not expensive, I'll fit a plain clutch lever and wire horn and headlight flasher to the right-hand side pod. Hello a mag just fell into my lap and I'm working on a chopper '72xlch. I was looking for a com cover that would allow me to run the mag. Is anyone holding a modified cover or could direct me to someone who could machine one for me? Thanks
