There is also another thread here about Leslie's passing, I think it's called R.I.P Leslie West. I am amazed at how much Mountain music there is on YouTube including a lot of old concert recordings from Woodstock all the way up to more recent independent work from Mr. West himself which I have been binge watching for the past week. it brought back a lot of fond memories of the many Mountain concerts I was at in the very early 70's. They were the only band that I went to see each and every time they came to Montreal.

Yea, I posted a pic (in that other thread) I took of Leslie in the early 70's when he played in
Asbury Park, NJ.
I dabble in guitar and bass also. Blood of the sun and others where among the
first songs I learned.
BTW Rush was the opening act for Mountain when I saw them.
Neil Peart mentioned that concert in one of his books.
We lost both of them in 2020. RIP guys.  |
