Default 48 air filter on a carb

Anyone tried to fit a sportster 48 stock cleaner on a carb model 91-03?
I had a search around but didnt find any reference for it
???

Are the vents on later engines the same spacing as the evo ones

Someone tried one on an '04 - '06, and it wouldn't fit. Fitment on a '91 - '03 should be the same.
