Default OK here we go (Engine Noise)

I have a new 2017 1200C.
And I noticed that the engine (I think it is top end) makes quite a bit of noise (rattle type of noise) at about 3200 to 3500 RPM. I know the Sportys make quite a bit of noise, but man this seems quite loud. Just for reference my last bike was a 2012 Fatboy twin cam. The Fatboy made noise but not like this Sporty. So should the Sporty make more noise that the twin cam Fatboy?
What do you think?

What do I think? Not serious. Probably loose sheet metal mounting screw or something.

Subject to the info supplied so far.

I have a '13 Superlow. It has what sounds like top end rattles at approx 3000rpm.
Drove me crazy. It also has what sounds like induction noise at higher speeds - sounds like the induction popping on an older twin air compressor at particular throttle openings and engine speeds - usually highway speeds.
I was not satisfied that "its just they way they are" so looked deeper.
Long story short I installed "rocker lockers". Look them up on youtube for the skinny on these.
End result on my bike they helped but didn't stop it because there are typically two sources of the rattle in the top end there (end float on the rocker arms and rocker shafts rotating back and forth knocking on the through bolt shaft). Tried a mineral diesel 20W-60 (no misprint) to see what that would do - not a lot really. Switched back to the 20W-50 synthetic I was using previous. I may chase the second source at a later date.
The induction noise is something I have to live with.
Tried riding it a bit harder today through the hills around my local. Maintained around 4000 - 5000rpm - found I can ride through the rattle and the induction sound changes to a nicer sound.

I guess I feel a little defeated in trying to eliminate the unwanted noises and am trying to convince myself that its the character of my bike.

Every motorcycle I ever owned made a lot of noise. If one of mine stopped making noise it was broke down. Noise is good.......... means the engine is still running.

Damn right! If you don't like engine noise, get an electric bike; see how you like that.

My 85 has a similar sound. Drives me nuts. Feels unreliable to me.

I love the sound of mine. My CRF, on the other hand, sounds like a bag of spanners.
