As such there are aftermarket solutions for things like ECMs and instruments. I hope that trend continues.
well according to the methodology of their first report on reliability they gave this graph ......

and the original link i gave is just updated info with more owners surveyed.

i am not trying to attack peoples love of harley, i know what i typed may be construed as such.

Electrical? A bulb failed? A connection was loose?

Accessories or body? Did a bolt loosen?

There are so many possibilities for whiney bitches to skew results.

well a lot of those whiny bitches are paying a lot for a loose bolt or or a failed bulb.

Of those that did incur out-of-pocket expenses, the average motorcycle repair bill was $342, with the cost being heavily dependent on brand and type. For those brands that we have adequate data on, median repair costs ranged from $269 for Kawasaki to $455 for BMW. Dual-sport/adventure bikes and cruisers were less expensive to repair, costing $313 and $322 on average, and sport touring models were pricier at $383.
regardless i hope the streetfighter does well and maybe in a few years if i can afford one i will get one.

Understood, but that makes their opinion and experience useless to me. That's my point on personal feelings regarding that shit.

Pretty much most major vehicle manufacturers are building shit that is reliable enough that I can buy what I LIKE without regards to such crap.

That's a truly wonderful and freeing feeling.

That said I do hope HD continues to grow and become more competitive in products.

yeah man i agree. but as far as i know there is no other data out there on the subject. maybe there is that i have not come across.

i frankly have never had an issue with my sporty other than the headlight socket getting old and brittle. big deal. oh yeah and the damn pushrod tube seal leaking lol. which is more annoying than anything.

but i feel the same way in a lot of areas, from cars to pc parts to my main love which is guitars. and i think that often, particularly when it comes to guitars, the age old adage of 'you get what you pay for' is kinda skewed. meaning that price doesn't necessarily correlate to quality or feature set.
