Here's a set up I've never seen before. I'm no electrical expert but this looks like you could very easily have one plug fire less efficiently than the other.

Mick, you may be thinking of a Dyna DC6-4. It's 2 coils in one for dual plug single fire.
Can't be used with points or a non dwell controlled ignition like dyna S.

If I'm not mistaken you also have to split the gap for each cylinder. Meaning if the gap is lets say 40 thousands gap each plug at 20.

Never did that on my dual plugged 1980.
