Default A/C Trim - Pt 2

OK, it looks like the research is over.

Looking for the correct A/C trim plate for my '83 XLS. Part number 29111-83. This one has a brushed aluminum finish with a raised "1000" - no other decals on it. Does anyone have a really nice used one, or (better yet) an NOS part?

The only one that I've found so far is half way around the world. It isn't pristine, but it is restorable if I have to. And isn't that half the fun of owning a 40 year old bike??

Default BEWARE Of SCAMMERS!

Some users have received PMs from scammers in response to WTBs that they've posted. They tend to follow along these lines, or similar:
"My buddy <name> has what you're looking for, email him on <email address>."
The person sending the PM typically has no posts, and has only just joined the Forum.

There may be a line like this at the bottom of the PM:
"Sent from my TECNO LB8a using Tapatalk"
If you Google a 'TECNO LB8a' (or whatever phone they're using) you'll see that it has a Nigerian origin!

I very strongly recommend that you don't contact the email address.

Please don't reply to the PM either.

Instead please report the PM: cick the 'Report Private Message' button (). Then one of the mods will deal with the scammer.

WTB seat for '78 XLH

Prefer solo, or something with a minimal hump (i don't do passengers).
Doesn't seem to be many "new" options out there, and i don't trust the Amazon BS...

Anyone with an extra layin around, shoot me a PM.

Looking for a chrome front master cylinder body for an 81. I have the cap, lever, and switchplate. Mine has stripped threads where the line goes into the body.
