OK. So why weren't you helping the IH design team when it really would have mattered ?

And we got stuck with these clunky tractor engines that were designed by a committee. (Two drunken sailors, 1 ten year old boy and a prostitute named Rosie.)

I'm suitably impressed with what your doing here.

Ricardo did 4 valve heads nearly 100 years ago.

Doesn't mean doing something similar now wouldn't be a good thing.

PLUS - too many interesting projects are hidden from view for far too long. And I just like anything that might improve on our tractors performance. (John Deer eat yer heart out !)

(Did you know that Rosie was a midget ?)

Here's my EFI winter project

My homebrew EFI on a 600" BBF in a near minimum weight chassis, I expect that will propel us to the NHRA speed limit of the chassis.

Air, I want to build a manifold with longer runners and a bigger plenum.

They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm hard headed

Here is what inspired me to put this EFi on my bike. This Briggs engine led to over 60 million dollars of investor funding. I converted it using using a Motec M48 ECU at first running it on gasoline. I had to make the throttle body, drum up some triggers, mount all of those items ect ect. All roughed out to get through the initial testng. That was done to initiate the bleed over for our Proof of Concept injector. That injector was installed on this very briggs engine to provide valuable data to further our r&d. After a few runs our injector cooked the Mosfet drivers in the ECU leading us to work with Performance Electronics developing a 48 volt version. That Briggs then ran on Hydrogen.
The second pic is yours truly doing some work on the later Chevy 502 converted to our injector running 100% Hydrogen, hence the face shield (not that that would do much). Behind the wall directly behind me are 6 K bottles with 6000psi of pure hydrogen. You can see the injectors which supplied fuel and spark directly through the original spark plug hole. This was an unthrottled set up not relying on eng vacuum.
I figured if I could do the conversion on the Briggs, shouldnt be too hard on our dinosaurs. I work with a team of engineers who dont know a screwdriver from a can opener, so i get to attempt to turn their Solidworks fantasies into something functional (sometimes).

Mike, those are truly impressive projects. Looks like you have an interesting job.

So can you run those engines on H2O? Just throw out the oxygen part?
