Just a thought.

Why not document this carefully as you go. Pictures help a lot. Brief descriptions of the problems you encounter and how you overcome them.
Make drawings of anything you have to fabricate - engine mounts etc.

This would make a great post for future conversion others may want to try.

I can't remove the rear rocker box on any of my IH's unless I pull the head off first.

You might want to "breathe" on the engine first. Big bore kit and cams so you can have as much power as a real Ironhead when your finished.

Finally got the motor in frame. Got busy there for a while. No real problems. Rear and lower front motor mounts lined right up. Now trying to figure out what top mount to use. May try a 1995-2003 top engine mount. It will not let me post pics.
