My rear mount has been cracked in the usual place for years, I didn’t have a replacement when I noticed the flaw the last time that I had the motor out so I just refitted it, the crack never got any worse.

I ended up pulling the engine and am very glad I did. Don't know what I was thinking. Cutting out that mount was a challenge with the engine out. Used an angle grinder with cutting wheel, chisel, and hammer. Got one tiny nick in the case that no one, especially me, will see. Should have done this when the cases were apart! I appreciate the sage wisdom on here.

I didn't try. I had read from enough people that it was more difficult that I wanted to try. Everything worked out fine. Pingel is already in place.

I haven't seen the pingle. Do the studs not go through it like on the stock mount?

The Pingel is very similar to the stock mount. A key difference, besides it’s added strength, is that you can remove and install it without splitting the cases. The aluminum surrounding the top stud hole on the stocker prevents that.

If the engine + Pingel installed is still out, could you post a pic of it???
