Maybe because the thread was started in 2007, and a lot of the votes went in before there were many EFIs around. Many people may have originally voted rubbermount carby, and now have an EFI (as do I).

I think the rubbermount carbys are/were pretty popular tho. I preferred the carby myself over the efi.
But that's just me.

I used to prefer my carb bike over my efi bike. Now that I finally got the effin' 'efi' sorted out, I'm liking it more: no choke to pull, no off idle stumble, pleasing acceleration etc.

Carb IMO is more rough, analogic shall we say... and suitable for easy mods...

EFI is a IT product

coming to my previous ride to the current...
i was converted on EFIs pretty soon...

more pleasure to ride...

The mods may be easier, but you have to spend a lot more time doing them, and the results are less certain. IMO
