I'm guessing (but don't know) i f someone is making aftermarket water slides.
OEM decals from the 60's are a bit "iffy" in my experience. At times now we're talking about decals that are over 60 years old.
I have had some that basically "fell apart" in the water. Fractured like a broken windscreen. The ones that curl up tightly as soon as they hit the water come to mind.
This may all depend on how they have been stored over the period. I am nearly out of OEM ones now and won't buy anymore. To expensive when you do have failures.
I still paint my race bikes but doesn't really matter with them. Methanol destroys any paint in a heartbeat. And they are tools, not museum pieces.

Yes Bruce, I saw those decals from Belgium. The ad says they are 3M metallic vinyl and clearcoating is recommended.
I also found another set from "Discontinueddecals.com". The ad says these are 3M vinyl and laminate and clearcoating is not needed. These guys are in the USA.
Both sets are $50.
Chuck thanks for sharing your knowledge on applying the decals. It's helpful to hear a method that works so we don't have to experiment with decals at $50 a shot.
I'll go with the USA outfit and skip the clearcoat over the decal.
