Be careful with your iPhone!!
"It is not recommended to attach your iPhone to motorcycles with high-power or high-volume engines due to the amplitude of the vibration in certain frequency ranges that they generate."
"Exposing your iPhone to high amplitude vibrations within certain frequency ranges, specifically those generated by high-power motorcycle engines, can degrade the performance of the camera system."
From Apple Support:
Exposure to vibrations, like those generated by high-powered motorcycle engines, might impact iPhone cameras

Fortunately I ride a couple of Harleys so I don’t have to worry about high power engines.
I can say that I’ve thoroughly field tested both an iPhone 6 and 10, mounted on the handlebars and haven’t had any issues.
I think the trick is to keep it on the bike and off the roadway.

FWIW this is a well known problem on bicycles too, vibration from the road can damage the image stabilization system of an iphones camera.

Not sure why I'd attach a phone to my bike.
I sometimes carry a map in my saddlebag; haven't noticed the vibes of the bike stopping the map from working.

I have a handlebar thing for when I went to the gym.
Gym shorts no pocket.
I can see how the vibes might affect the phone, and I don't use the thing while riding.
I like my phone in my pocket

Turn by turn directions can be very handy on a complicated route for a group ride, many bicycle clubs now post RideWithGps routes at their websites...and some motorcycle groups too. Just did a 100 mile ride with the local BSA club yesterday and that would have been a big help and can make for for less surprises and mistakes. Anyway FWIW I use a Garmin bicycle unit rather than a phone for this, it will load RWPGS routes and is unphased by vibration or rough roads.
