I must be really lucky with batteries. The original battery on my 03 lasted over 6 years. In fact the only reason I replaced it is because I was riding out to Sturgis that year and didn't want to take any chances. I replaced it with an H-D battery and believe it or not, that battery just crapped out a few weeks ago. 10 years! And I never, ever disconnect it over the winter or trickle charge it (yeah, I'm lazy....). So I'm probably going to get another H-D battery since I've had such good luck with them in the past.
