Question forty eight mods

hey guys just picked up a 2015 fortyeight a couple months ago. i couldnt be happier with it. i recently install vh shortshots, vh fp3 and arlen ness big sucker intake. i was surprised by the power gains from these mods. lined it up with my friends stock 48 and it blew him away. i was wondering what the next steps for modding would be. simple bolt on mods though. i dont want to start modding internals or boring out. i was thinking some spark ignition modules, if they even do anything or if you guys can reccomend specific ones? also any other bolt on performance mods you guys can think of, and specific brands that you reccomend. thanks alot in advance guys!!

Don't bother with those Voodoo fixes. Just a waste of money. The next step is to have it tuned properly. Get it on a Dyno and have it fine tuned to perfection. Do your short shot have any baffles in 'em? If not that would improve performance.

Other than that your next performance upgrade should be cams unless your planning on doing a 1250 kit in the future. Then you should do everything to match your build but, that'll cost you another grand or two depending on the build.

Relax and enjoy the bike for now.

No to new injectors. Jharback is right. Cams would be the next logical step, AND some baffles. You don't need quiet, just a bit of back pressure. Work is involved. When in doubt, pay to have it done. But instructions are available here on the XLForum. Also, a factory service manual is a valuable tool itself.

Honestly, my next mods would be suspension or seat related. You can already beat your buddy to the next stop light. Now beat him to the next state (or meet him there, with you on your bike and him pulling his on a trailer). The bike will be more comfortable and will likely handle better.

This. I'm a huge advocate of suspension. Or, get a dual front disc brake set up going on that 48. Or...both!! ha

If like you said you do not want to start digging into the engine
then I think you have done all that can be done from a performance
stand point excluding the baffles.
