Morning Yall!
I got to sleep at night last night again. In my world of rotating shifts that is a mini victory! So I awoke to a empty house but a almost full pot of coffee. Miz is back at school and the girls are spending the last few days of freedom hanging out with Grandparents. I grabbed a cup of mystery coffee and was on my way to check out the forum when I got a call from a friend, just to see how we were doing. That made me feel good!

I'm going to the hay field today and tomorrow on my days off from the plant. That means no time for wrenching on Betty or riding at all. I admit its not all bad though. Last night I was cutting hay up until sunset. The temps became so nice, the smell of fresh cut hay and beautiful scenes all around were peaceful. Plus it feels good to be "dog tired" at night and being able to go to bed in peace!

So for a couple of days I will be riding a IH, but no, not a Iron Head. Its a International Harvester tractor built in 1969 all rusty and greasy but running still. Gonna have one more cup then I guess the dew will be gone and I best be getting after it!

Don't know what kind of coffee I got here, but help yourselves just the same!

I got my backyard mowed over the weekend, but the front is ready to be bailed now. Heat index is supposed to be around 102 degrees today, and another chance of thunderstorms. The skeeters are loving this weather.

Skeeter free weather for hundreds of miles surrounding me.50 lb. bag, Dog food run, after I type this out. Maxwell House hot on the counter.

Aint it funny? When you own multiple iron. You try and decide who get's more cash love than the other?

Kinda like kids I guess. I try and rotate the love on mine. Being semi broke makes this more adventurous.
Guess I'll figure what to do with my 1/2 dozen cans of Ranch Style Beans . 2 cans should suffice in my saddle bags for the Fall Sweetwater Rattle Snake Roundup.

Sipping some Folgers Breakfast Blend on the Pacific beach, been quite a run getting here. Haying is for them young’uns Jay, give it hell. Got about two pounds of protein smeared all over the front of Black Beauty and the riding clothes. Plenty of bugs and critters to go around when you’re doing serious roadwork. Working on our t”tan lines” today.

Son an grandson down here for a visit. I recently bought one of the zero turn stick steer mowers. Been telling the kids how much fun it is to drive. I let them mow my grass yesterday. They was having fun........... or at least they thought they was. Tell them how much fun it is and they will be fighting over who gets to mow next.

Worked until one of them decided it was more fun to just get in the middle of the yard and spin round and round.
