All of my HD's have an oil cooler.

An Ironhead is really an oil cooled motor with an air assist.

Ask a Shriner about an oil cooler!

I know when mine is too hot.

It will run when I pull out the key and run till the float bowl empties.

Jila Bend Arizona was one place I experienced this over heating effect. No temp gauge.
