I admire you hard core cold weather riders. I enjoy this thread. Of course. I am still riding. Sun came out today after 2 days of rain. I'll probably be out during next week as the weather warms up.

My cold weather riding tolerance is 50F. Anything lower. Forget about it. Wet? Forget about it. Cold and Wet. Forget about it. Snow? Don't even drive my pickup then. My blood is as thin as tranny fluid.

You guys rok.

Could'nt stand it anymore! Had'nt ridden in 3 weeks, either pouring rain or freezing cold. Finally got out this afternoon, sunny and 38 degrees, no wind. Usually my threshold is 45 degrees. Wore long johns [top and bottoms] one pair cotton knee socks and one pair wool hunting socks, flannel shirt, insulated vest, wool scarf, leather pants and insulated leather jacket. Rode about 35 miles, took an hour. Was reasonably warm except for hands, [moderately cold] however, I wear thin leather gloves with a thin liner so as to still be able to feel the grips. Friday is supposed to be cloudy but 52 degrees, I'll give 'er hell, then!

Rode to work today, 28 deg. Army issue polly, hoodie, mechanics gloves. Still trying to thaw, but it was still a good ride.

That’s about what my area looks like. 13 inches of snow fell this past Sunday, and ever since what has melted and not evaporated has turned my neighborhood into an ice skating rink!! Come on spring!!!

-4C and about 10 miles to work. Nippy fingers at the end but that was with normal lined gloves and knuckle guards. I think anybody who wears an open face in these temps probably has trouble smiling for about 6 hors afterwards but whatever. Trip home was +2, beautiful clear weather, sun reflecting of the ice in the fjørd. Remarkable how quickly the temperature drops when the sun goes down.
