How is there clearance to allow the spacer to not fit square? I don't see how that can happen. Drop, sure. But then there are the bearing adapters sold to allow you to use the stock bearings, with a smaller axle. Wouldn't the same thing happen if it was possible in the first place?

when I said square I ment the peripheries of the spacer wouldn't line up with the inner bearing race if it drops. it would probably be ok but you asked the question what should you do, if you are replacing the bearings why wouldn't you replace the spacer for the correct size ?
