Glad you're not hurt. Crashing anything sucks, specially if you haven't even ridden it yet.

Thanks for the well wishes. I caught some bug in the rain while soaked and have felt puny for week or so but my body seems to be settling down today.

I have other pics n my camera to post on this thread yet. Bikes off the trailer. Strapped on a lift. Trailer is repaired/ugly service-able.

Bike plastic on front destroyed. 1 Saddle Bag and Rear Tank bag iffy with mounting boss plastic ripped out

Rear Trunk metal mounting plate was bent in 1/2. Rear facing down.

My guess. Since it was pitch dark. End over end tumble for a while before stopping.
The trailer threw the truck around like 2 year old with a toy and creased the front end on a guard rail.

I'll echo Brian's sentiment," crashing sucks", and currently recuperating from reconstructive shoulder surgery. Got deadman parts in there now, hoping for better results than the first guy had. Brother be careful!!!

Update while I am munching on Thanksgiving day. Told ya I've been busy. Bent rim is a mystery and I think is the cause of my wreck.

Trailer is repaired for now

Geico, Ebay, and I are waiting on a new front fender and other body parts. Claim has been opened. I will do the body work repair. Accident report being mailed to me.

stripping off broken plastic and mounts

Next post is more info on the Kawi and where I stand so far with everything on this fine holiday with egg nog.

When I got home. Unloading bike was a bitch. I pulled all calipers but missed where the trailer mount is rubbing the rear tired. It is bent.

Kawi on lift

Busted ass fairing

Saving the wind shield for the side car later.

off the lift before going into storage

Stored in the wifes shop building . Yeah Fred. My Bo has her own bike and shop. But. I am a kept dude.

I tested with a known good battery. Bike turns over. Good compression. Good Spark. Gas tank is crusty rusty. Time to try out my new free craiglist shop gas dryer and throw some chain in da tank.

It is on the back burner for now.
