Missing from the choices is riding in the rain ...

I wash mine every once in a while with soap and water from a bucket. In fact, I washed it just 3 weeks ago, but since then I have ridden 10,000 miles through rain, snow, and dust on highways, secondary roads, and dirt/gravel roads. I may wash it again this week

Also absent from the list was ask the dealer to. Anytime you take the bike in my dealer will wash it. Not detail it but wash it. Once last year I asked them to wash it for me. The service manager Chris walks out to the bike with me. (He takes great pride on keeping Effie on the road) Anyway we were talking and looking at her, then I started laughing. I had to explain I had forgot I had a white wall on the back.

Pressure wash. My wife bought me a pressure washer from Harbor Freight years ago and I wash all my bikes with it. I have never had to replace any wheel bearings or steering bearings because I don't spray them directly. Very seldom do I have any mechanical trouble with my bikes and never because of the pressure washer. Earlier, someone said only an idiot would use a spray wash. Well, I guess I am that idiot but I have a lot of clean motorcycles in my collection, including a couple of nice looking and great running Ironheads.......

Yep, the Ironhead gets washed with WD-40 and wiped down with a clean dry rag.

My bikes might get washed twice a year, if so!

Pressure water (from a decent distance and electrics covered with plastic bags). No time to f..k around making them shiny... I spend half of my life (month On - month Off rotations) working out of Country, so when I am at home I just want to ride.
