Looking good so far, and the wood work is great.

Thanks all, it will keep me busy all winter that's for sure.

I retired from my "career job" in 2015 but have been doing the MC repair from 2013 on.
Got way too busy so had to cut back. Still have a handful of customers, mostly the folks I ride with.

BTW I do have a F-Head Willys engine to rebuild and install if I ever want to go back to near stock.
The 259 was in it when I bought it.

You don't know how close you came to having me back again in June. I had the same brake issue as I entered WY on my way out to the IBR in June. I opted to continue on to SLC and bleed them first which worked for about a week or so. Then whenever it got hot they started fading but was able to pump them up.

Yea, sorry, last 2 months have been busy/weird for me.
Wasn't feeling so great (non covid related) and had to take care of some things.
Even missed BMST at Bonneville this year because of it.

Anywho, I have the rear end just about finished. Changed bearings and seals
in the Timken clamshell rear end. That included a lot of machining by me of parts no longer available.
Timken made differentials for a lot of trucks back then. Spicer (now Dana) made the rest.

Had to make some shims and even some bronze bushings for the rear leaf shackles.
Painted the frame with Eastwood Black Rust Encapsulator, nice stuff looks great.

Yesterday I got the new rims and tires in, so I need to mount them up and get some pictures to post.
Give me a day or two.

Well here are some more pics.

First is the rear leaf shackle with bushings, one bushing I made by turning down a shoulder bushing, the other was a stock size from ACE hardware.

My rebuilt Spicer T-18 transfer case.

rear frame painted and new brakes and drums. Replaces seals and some bearings in the Timken clamshell differential.

New rims and tires, new lug nuts and center caps on the way.

A seat I found locally, from the back of a side by side. It was cheap and the right width.
