Default XG750A shocks on '95 XLH883 Hugger?

Hello, I am building an enduro / scrambler styled '95 Sporty. I have an HD Racing Orange tank and I am considering running orange XG750A shocks with the piggyback for a matching look. Has anyone tried this? Would this be likely to work, or would it be dangerous and / or require extensive modifications etc?

What length are they? Can you get the load specs/spring rates for them. If they are the correct length and mounting similar, just a matter of how heavy a bike they can safely accommodate. The Hugger had shorter shocks and front forks (or springs?) than my XLH Standard model, my rear shocks are 13.25" I believe.

Let us know what you find out after some research.

John
