I'm more interested in the gear people use to do so, but it's whatever. I listen to a lot of stuff when travelling on the bike, but I try to listen to softer stuff when in town so that I keep the speed reasonable. Heavy stuff, when I'm really diggin' it, gets my heartbeat racing and mmy right hand twisting. As for gear, I use my iPhone and the stock headphones, but I just got an iPhone RAM mount for the bars and I'm gonna order a Chatterbox headset when I get my new helmet. I'm also running a charge cord through the S2's electrical system so I can keep the tunes coming all day without missin' the call at night .

Usually have some 80's rock going on the ipod. Would like to find a set of earphones that could double as earplugs though.

I have read a lot of good things about the etymotics 6i headphones and their noise cancelling abilities. They retail for $149 but if they work as described, I think they may be worth it.
