Seems like I supplied that ramp assembly with 2 sets of balls and instructions to try both sets ?
I was also under the impression that the ramp was tested first and THEN the broken dampener plate was discovered when the clutch would not adjust
Either way I dont care !
Stop the pissing match !!

Since you were not there, maybe you could ask Richard, he and I were the ones working on the bike.

That aside, balls sliding around on the edges of the ramps would be a fail under any circumstances. Keep in mind, depending on how they slide, they would not necessarily keep their equal distance from each other.

I do not remember if there was a set of stock balls, however; we had the stock ramp, so we did have a set of stock balls available.

I didn't pursue it further at the time, because; since it was obvious that the plan had not been thought out thoroughly, and there was not enough care taken upon assembling balls that couldn't work, I was more of the mind to get known good parts in there and put the bike back on the road.

Why is the quest for knowledge a pissing match? I always follow the scientific method wherever it leads. I have proven myself wrong at times, and in my mind that is more important than any concern for my feelings. If our space program was afraid of asking the important questions, Neil Armstrong would be floating in deep space today after having missing the target by inches.
