Looking good; it won’t be long now before you have a big smile on your face. Nice work!

Oh man I sure hope so! I hate being without the bike right now! The commute to school really sucks in the car. 125 miles round trip in a cager really hurts the wallet! Not to mention so boring!

I'm hoping to finish the bike tonight after work, I'll update with progress.

Sorry for the late response everyone. After finals week I ended up getting sick and was unable to work on the bike.

I just came in from outside after doing the 3rd heat cycle. Probably going to be taking it out for a small ride tomorrow and then continue breaking it in.

I'm not sure if I should post some pictures of the assembly here or just start a new thread?

Good to hear progress.
I'd start a new thread for the assembly.

Great job Blue Scoot! Sounds like you’re back in the game once again. Enjoy your ride today.

Thanks for all of the help everyone! I'm hoping this will fix it for good.

Unfortunately I have to take a leave of absence from school for right now since I can't afford the gas for my 125 mile round trip in an SUV. But if this fixes the bike and I can trust to ride it that far again every day then I will be able to carry on!

I’m praying for you, in that your scoot is as good as new after the repair and it’s trustworthy for the 125 mile trip each day, so that you can continue on with school without any delays.

Sad Day Update:

You guys were right, studs didn't hold. Or at least something didn't, the head gasket is already leaking.
Last night I was going to get some more break in miles and when I started it up it was chirping louder than I have ever heard it before and could feel a ton of air coming out on the pushrod side.

So what's next:
I'm not sure if I should just try and helicoil the cases and put all new studs in or what?
