Default super b overflow

Im having a situation with my super b.
first off i have a velocity stack on it.
While riding the bike
as soon as i get into 4th gear and start traveling at higher speeds, I notice im losing gas through the overflow.
(this only happens in 4th gear)
while riding around in stop and go traffic around town... 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear. no sign of gas coming from the overflow. nor does it happen while at a light or idling on its kickstand
.
i checked to see that the float is properly positioned.
as well as it is not hanging up on the pin the float hangs from. (i originally believed it was the pin hanging up the float cause i had bought an aftermarket rebuild kit that need some massaging to properly function.

not sure why wind would make it do that unless it had something to do with negative pressure or forming some sort of a vacuum.

good call rick 3 holes with screws velo maybe blocking something ,,if his float is right,,, don,t know,,,, u gotta clean the side air passage,,, not with drill bit don,t make it no larger ,,, think bread tye and clean it,,, get the crud out ,, that side passage run,s deeper than u know

does the enrichener seal good when its off?i've had that problem with the super b on my race bike,same symptoms.havent figured out why yet and that's with a new and the old enrichener

Maybe it's wind velocity, sucking the gas out of the throat of the carb, because of the shape of the Velocity stack. In 4th your going at higher speeds and the wind travels over the velocity stack, causing sort of a turbulence over it, sucking the gas out.
Take some tape and block/cover 1/2 the Velocity stack opening and see if it still does it, you may have to block it at different points on the stack.

Yes. I’m running support bracket on bottom bolt of manifold and carb is perpendicular with the ground

I have a 7” filter just need to pick up a new element for it. Do a quick swap, At least that way I could rule out the vstack.
