Cool

my 91 has done just that at least a couple times over the years,....cleaning and tightening the battery terminals has fixed it every time......and like Tigg said, the bolt on the engine block with the neg wire and the pos wire on the starter

carry on

Negative and Positive leads seem good
I have a thought that it may be the ignition switch, i remember an icedent where I turned the key somewhere inbetween acc and ign. The dash lights flickered when this happened.
Besides riding the bike quite hard the day before this is the only thing i can think of.

Thanks for your promp response. (Your bike is something to aspire to btw, I am inspired!)

As Tigger mentions - Tug on the cables - they often corrode & break down inside the insulation and you cannot detect the failure by looking at them...

Check & reply with the voltages you see from the 4 tests in the SP link above...

Default 97 XLH1200 Electrical issue

Thanks for all the helpful advise gentlemen.
With your help that I got here, I was able to narrow the issue down to the ignition switch.
I replaced it and the power was back on and she is running seemingly stronger than before(is this just my imagination, or is this the case in your experience?).

This was my first experience on this forum and actually any forum tbh.
So thanks for making it easy for me.
I expect I will be on here a lot more as there is more that needs to be done on the bike.

Anyways thanks again!

Corey
