I match grind injectors for FAA fuel systems, never assemble dry...ever. There is less than 50 millionths tolerance, diametrical clearance is .0002 if lucky per side on the bore.

Save the headache and throw a pill in the tank. They actually work.
Clean Boost, my trucker friends use those.

Some of the in the tank cleaners work... somewhat. Techron is Chevron’s trade name for PEA (poly ether amine) that they developed, but it’s in some of the other injector cleaners now.
If the injector Cleaner doesn’t have PEA, it’s probably just going to clean your wallet.
