Default Spitting brake fluid our of reservoir when pressuring the leaver ?

Hi Guys,

We have a strange issue with new controllers where I cant get my head around..

I’m working with a buddy on a Nighster 2012 he just bought.
We installed new controllers (from a private label brand of a wholesaler in Europe), you can see them here: https://www.motorcyclestorehouse.com/product/901438

The oil reservoir is leaking oil, but I think its “normal” because the way its currently acting.
When pressing the brake leaver it spits brake fluid in the air, this surprises me ??
From what I experienced on my bike the brake fluid can spit up when releasing pressure.
This seems normal.. as the oil is returning back to the reservoir when releasing pressure, doing this rapidly will spit up oil out of the reservoir.
But the other way around, as with my buddy’s bike seems very strange ? Or am I wrong or missing something ?

Any advice ?

Thx in advance !

Odd. Is the MC pushing the calliper pistons out when you pump the lever? If not, maybe the brake hose is still full of air.
One thing you could try is a reverse bleed. That forces air up and out.

A fluid geyser isn't out of the ordinary and is why some reservoirs have a deflector tab placed over the hole.
