Angry 2003 1200xlc dies while riding and won't start till it sits

I have a 2003 sportster xlc and it will intermittently just shut off while riding and won't restart for about a hour. I have power and the starter works fine I have a brand new battery, new coil, wires, and a new tilt sensor. It may do this twice in one week or I have it go as long as a year before it would do it again. I have troubleshooted this for a long time and can't figure it out. After the bike sits for a while it will fire up and run like nothing is wrong. I have also checked the plugs when it dies and I am getting no spark when this happens. Please help if you have any info thanks

I think its under what used to be the point cover on the right side of the engine.
That round cover with 2 rivets and the "5" on it

That is classic ignition module failure. There is no facory replacement. It is an obsolete part. Daytona twin tec, Dyna and Ultima(rebadged Dyna, $130 cheaper and my favorite) are readily available. If the bank angle sensor is something you can't live without you have to get the Daytona as the others eliminate it.

Hope this helps.

The guys are probably right about the module problem. I had a Honda that had a temperature sensitive fault in the ignition coil. It would quit then let me have a 15 minute push. After 15 minutes, it fired right up.
