Definitely will follow the Break-In procedure to the letter!

Look at the 18" & 20" lines between 2K & 3.5K... big differences there.

Hey sorry for the late reply , I have on ly just seen this.

In all the maps I tried while at home, on my limited raids here on the island and 40mph speed limit, I could not notice a blind bit of difference between ANY map or the Race or EX 2 0...with the exception with the fact that with the Ex version and its ability to control the lower MP range of setting s( lower throttle position) I got rid of a the over run pop on deceleration.

Virtually all the Custom maps on the Sportsterpedia, can happily run on the Ex version, as although the Ex version has limits on the amount of advance, virtually no Custom maps exceed the Ex limits any way.

The only thing you have to do, is convert the Custom Race map to Ex format, by changing a few items in the map file...

I think, (H-D) you have already discovered how to do that by editing the tbl file in Excel (or Notepad)

My OEM ignition module was flashed at the dealership years ago to the SE 1200 map, and even with the wiring mod needed for the TC88A, I can simplyplug the OEM module back in and can't notice any difference either.

But all my " not finding any difference" between any map or module, is riding at low speeds , up to 40 mph with the odd sneaky dash to 60 or so ..on an island 12 miles by 6 and a 40 mph speed limit.

I did plan to go away to France again, with a laptop and have a proper play with maps and see if on the open road I could see what seemed best ...but now the engine has seized on the side of the motorway in France (while running Race Canned 2 0 map, and it is in a garage 250 miles away with no indication of when the insurance company will repatriate it for me, I can't do any more.

And when i do get it back, I think it will be to find a set of standard heads, rip of the Andrews Cams, rip off the KromeWorks exhaust and Big Sucker and go totally back to bog standard pre Stage one 883 setup .

If I want a faster bike i'll just go and buy one ...Like a BMW GS1250,

Yes, but how long I have to wait for DAS Europe to get it back to me is another big variable.
Two weeks now, and they have still not contacted the garage that recovered it off the motorway, to arrange to ship it back to me.
