Yeah, still got the upper belt guard. It is hanging on the wall in the back of the shop, right where I put it about 20 years ago.

You got me thinking though. If you run just a tight lower belt guard, and you run the bike at high RPM, you may be able to run a broken belt as long as that guard can help feed it back onto the rear sprocket every time it goes around. Could get you to the end of the drag strip, but once you stop it will fall to the pavement.

Yeah, I know, physics isn't working in my favor with this theory, so we should downgrade this to belief rather than theory.

I don't run any guards, top, bottom, or front sprocket cover. I rely on my leg to prevent scratches to my pristine paint. I keep the top guard on the shelf just in case because they require them at the drag strip as George mentioned.
