Thanks. I just ordered a cover from Ebay for $55 shipped. It looks good in pictures. I will still need the clips or maybe I'll just go with the velcro strips for cable organizer.

Right! These things are nightmare. Mine was actually "secured" by one of the original grey clips and one of the intermediate updated ones that I bought after almost loosing the cover earlier on in my ownership. Since I got that newer black clip (not the latest and greatest), the cover has not been trying to take off. Until last weekend in Rhode Island, that is. That's 16 years!

But let that be the biggest nightmare in my bike! Well, there was the clutch.... That was also a nightmare and also by design.

In any case, I will order the latest version of the clips and will secure the cover with a velcro type cable organizer thingie.
