Old question, and the answer is still the same.

"How fast can you afford to go?"

That's truly the point of the exercise.

After I did my stage 1 (883), I was pretty unimpressed, but had a great running bike.

After I did the 1200 conversion, I could almost drive her out from under me.

Anything more than 1200-1250, and you're doing head work.

Your choice.

What exactly does this "Stage 1" consist of? All exhaust and intake upgrades are not created equal, might be room for improvement there, a good run and tune on the Dyno might provide you with where you're at now. Then maybe cams and head work.

Hard to really say since you refuse to mention what exactly you are wanting this bike to do. It took a while for you to mention you had an EFI 1200.

Stage 1= Exhaust and Air Cleaner and flash tune. Add about 10hp.
Stage 2 = Cams and tuner. Another 10hp.
Stage 3 = Heads. Another 10hp.

Then after market whatever.
