HD female rod on the back is better to act as a reservoir to keep the oil next to the rollers for longer, but there's no mechanical disadvantage or reasons why the forked rod can't be mounted on the front.

Both assemblies have been seen in the past, although fork at rear seems more prevalent...

Design of the HD fork seems better suited to be on the rear anyway, so I would split the crank to rearrange...

Thanks a lot for the info. Im thinking that if there is no mechanical disadvantage why change it? If its not going to damage the engine, I wouldn´t mess with it.
