Harry I run 23-49 currently only because my 47 broke a tooth.
I ran a 50 once and it had a slight dish look to it but it worked OK.. I just wanted to lower the RPM on the super slab.

Cotton let us know how that works on the sprocket changes and such as I'm pretty slow at getting anything done on my stuff.

I looked through my parts on hand. I have the 21 and 47,48, and 49 to play with.

Maybe I need a 23?

I had a 21 originally. It was quick as greased lightening from a dead stop. I was blowing the doors off of new twin cam bikes. I only changed it out cuz it was wore out.

Which combo do you suggest with the 21 Rok?

Remember, mines a 98..so 5 speed. I want 6 speed so bad that I try to shift into it a lot

On my ride yesterday I had plenty of torque to the rev limiter in 1-4. I was close to 80 in 4th, but didn't have the road to try 5th. I need to look, I think I took a picture of the settings on the ICM when I put it in. I can't remember where I set the rev limiter. I still got 48 mpg off 87 non ethanol driving for fun, so I may try to get the chain gearing close to the current belt drive.

Found the picture quick..

Twin Tech 1005 module. Slope is at 1 and 5, rev is set at 4800. I might need to bump that up a little..

21-49 if you want lower rpm at top end with what you got on hand I guess. Mine was set up as 21-48 < 4 speed >. I just got my internet back up. It has been down all morning. I posted earlier on my phone. Which a abhor with my ham hands.

You should still be quick off the line but the extra tooth should help on high speed lower rpm on the motor.

Edit: if me. I'd play with 47 and 48 sprocket also. Nothing like getting real world input while experimenting.
I don't have sprockets on my 5 speed sporty. Just pulleys. You have not seen me on that one yet.

Right now I don't want to go any less off the line. She is borderline weak until the rpms come up a bit. I don't have a tach, but would guess it's good over 15-1800. From idle to there is good enough, but won't win a drag race.

Thanks for the input man, I will keep that in mind when I get around to the conversion.

Cotton you should just do the 1275 conversion so you can really take advantage of the gear changes and maybe a Baker 6.. lol
Sky had problems with his Baker 6 a lot but probably because he was so easy on it.

It seems like the 6 speed would be so useful..
