Default Unpin tail lamp connector

Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched and couldn't find any info. How would I unpin the connector leading to the tail lamp? I need to re-attach a wire.

Is it a round pin or flat 'spade' connector? Male or female?
If it's a round pin, you push the wire forward from the back and there should be three or four small tabs bent outward that act as barbs. There's a special tool for that but I've used a piece of tubing just big enough to slide over the pin. Push wire forward, slide tool or tubing over the pin until it bottoms on the plastic plug assy. That should collapse the tabs so you can pull the wire out from the back.
If it's a flat spade connector, they're formed in such a way so that part of the spade becomes a barb. Again, push wire forward from the back and see which side the barb is on. Push barb sideways or down and hold while you pull the wire out the back.

Thanks, it's the round type. I've done the flat spade type before. I'll try the tubing.
