Just a thought.

Why not document this carefully as you go. Pictures help a lot. Brief descriptions of the problems you encounter and how you overcome them.
Make drawings of anything you have to fabricate - engine mounts etc.

This would make a great post for future conversion others may want to try.

I can't remove the rear rocker box on any of my IH's unless I pull the head off first.

You might want to "breathe" on the engine first. Big bore kit and cams so you can have as much power as a real Ironhead when your finished.
