Default old school prism oil filter/cooler

hi hows things. i picked up a prism dual cooler filter made from aluminium. looks pretty cool and was brand new. i opened it up and its got one of those old pinky yuckycoloured filters inside. the end that opens a new gasket and a cap with spring hoding filter in place, then the outside cover with 4 small allen bolts to do it back up. it all looks like in is out and out is in. not sure though. looks like that is the deal but just want to make sure. wouldnt like to gooof the flow pattern up. thanks. any tips would be great

I haven't found anything on ins and outs of that particular filter.
But if you post some pics of the inside, maybe we can all learn something from it.

All the oil (and fuel filters) I've ever worked with take dirty oil (or fuel) on the outside of the element and pass it through, giving you clean oil in the core of the filter which is then sent on to the lubrication system. Figure out which fitting comes from the center and which one goes into the outer shell and you're in business. Spin-on filters are the same. Dirty oil in through the outer ring of small holes, clean oil out through the large center hole.
