Default A couple more noob questions (Fuel, EFI)

just bought 2007 883, 10,000 miles
changed engine oil
changed tranny oil, with HD synthetic

1. The O.M. sez use 91 octane, is that what y'all use in the 883
2. The 2007 was an early year for F.I. Are there any problems common to 2007 883's

I have a couple hundred miles on this, it's a fun bike so far

Yes ( I have a 1200)

Yes- there are issues with corrosion on the fuse panel for one.

I have a couple hundred miles on this, it's a fun bike so far

Yes, use 91, all the time when it's available. If you get stuck out in the boonies & can't get 91 or better, it will run on 87 or 89, just don't try to give it full throttle. It'll let you know how much it don't like that.

]I bought my ‘13 “72” in late ‘16 and it came with a dealer installed brand new EFI Pump. I used Chevron in it and then when Shell took over most of those stations is used their top grade with the N2 cleansing agent.

My EFI line O-rings dried out and failed very quickly with the Shell V-Power gas.

I no longer use it. 😡
