Default Electrical question

Is the ACC circuit supposed to be live all the time? My brake light, turn signals, etc. all work even with the key off.

The Battery sends power to the Main Circuit Breaker - The Main Circuit Breaker feeds power to the Keyswitch - The Keyswitch feeds all the other Circuit Breakers...

The Ignition, Lights & Accessory CBs should not have power until the Keyswitch is ON...

It sounds like the Keyswitch has been rewired and/or replaced...

Thanks, great explanation. The keyswitch has definitely been rewired. There was a toggle switch attached to it for a light switch. All the handlebar wiring had been deleted, which has now been sorted.

In the original wire harness the ACC circuit feeds all of the orange wires.

Possible that the ignition switch went bad too.

Turns out that this is the problem. The switch is working intermittently. Good thing I did new handlebar switches, including the kill switch. Guess I'll be getting an ignition switch too.

For a healthy ignition switch best to have only the ignition key. The switch does not like a heavy set of keys
