Most fun mods were on my last bike - engine mods, big bore, cams, ported dual plug heads, exhaust, etc.

My current Roadster is mostly stock. It's not quick or fast, but it's enough.
Best improvement was rear shocks.
Even though the Roadster shocks are supposed to be better than previous versions, they were pretty horrible for me.

Swapped out fork oil for a lighter weight and lower level, and moved the forks up a bit in the trees to level it out.
A practical mod for me was changing out those ridiculously wide and low beach type handlebars for a set from an 883 Iron.

And around here, if you don't run a windshield, you spend a lot of time scrubbing the bugs off of everything - including yourself.

The progressive shocks- by a mile. It's actually a cushy ride now.

How much power did you make from all those mods. I have a 2000 1200C Sporty with only 3500 miles that's been sitting for literally 10 years, so it's gonna need some engine out love and power if I'm going to resurrect her..

Thanks in advance

I'm pretty happy with my 1200 kit but it isn't even on the list.

I added this sissybar "Iron Born Standard 25" Sissy Bar for Harley Sportster 883 Iron XL883N Matte Black" on my sporty a couple of months ago and am very happy with its build quality and for me, it is the best improvement on my sporty.

Several mods:
1 Rear shocks changed to longer air shocks. Now more comfortable and goes round right hand corners without grounding out the exhaust
2 Handlebars, with Rox riser and adjustable reach levers
3 Screen
4 Fitted standard rear mufflers as those fitted when I bought it were excessively loud even with baffles
5 Removed sissy bar, added rear rack and top box
6 Fitted K&N filter system, re-tuned FP3
7 Tyres initially Bridgestone Battlecruise now have Avon Spirit on rear
8 Fork brace
Top three cover the ergonomic triangle. Bike already had a Sundowner dual saddle.
