Thanks man, yes the cable reroute worked fine. I will adjust the mixture screw tomorrow but I think I will have to change jets.

Do you guys think it could run the bike like this ( adjusting the mixture a bit) or it could cause serious damage to the engine? How can I really tell that it's overheating? Thanks

No air filter and drags will make it run lean. Yes, you can damage the engine by letting it overheat from running too lean.

I believe the motor runs hotter during break-in. But lean for sure will create heat

Any recommendations on jetting the Keihin CV carb? I'm going to run an aftermarket air filter with not necessarily more air flow than the OEM one, but it's the one that came with the bike and baffled drag pipes. If I remember correctly right now I have a 46 pilot and a 175 main.

Is it best to use a straight weight oil such as 40 or 50 with no detergent? Use to swear by this on my old car engine rebuilds.
