Same here.....this is my last motorcycle, I ride it almost every day that it doesn't rain....am taking as good of care of it as I can.....Have owned it 6 years and don't expect to sell if....if something happens to me, it goes to one of cousins. Being well into my 70s means I may have at least 5 to 10 years of potentially good riding left.

We know what is good for you so take it and shut up
When I was a kid and the Frankie & Annette beach movies hit the screens my goal was to move to California. It looked like paradise. Since then, I've had several friends move there and all of them have come back as the political climate grew steadily worse. It's commonly called the "granola state" because of all the nuts & flakes.

When I worked in the bike shop, we called Saturday "cereal day" for that very same reason.

I lived in Escondido/San Marcos back in '78-'79. It only rained once, in Jan. I learned to lane-split and made many trips to Vegas. Learned A LOT about being prepared and maintenance, in those days.
I've had my Sporty for 12 years now. Best bike I've ever owned. Enough maintenance to keep a guy "intimate" with his bike, light enough for around town, heavy enough for long rode trips, very reliable to the point that you don't have worry about becoming stranded, and more than enough power to keep even the "speed freak" in me happy! I managed to get 75+ miles on it before it snowed earlier this week. I am gonna have to put the brake pads I bought last year, on it tho.
