Default Jumping and rocking at around 3K rpm

My friend called me and asked to ride her bike to see if it was all in her head or does it act weird. I took a ride and have never experienced anything similar. 3rd gear@60km/ 4th gear@80 km/hr it begins to rock forth and back heavily. Its like a vibration but more aggressive. It does it almost in rhythmical sequences. Feeling like something going out of place. Like a gyro force, flywheel heavily out of balance type of feeling. But otherwise the bike rides strong and ok. Some sudden lean spot/reversion i could pick up but nothing else. I didnt have time to take carb or electrics or more apart at this point but thought i try to find some possible faults if someone might have experienced something similar. The chain was not too tight or anything like that.

90’s evo 883to 1200 conversion, hardtailed. CV carb.

Yeah i can power thru it, it holds the power during the rocking and basically the power band is pretty normal. Its a hard tailed custom bobber. Engine -99 conversion from 883-1200.

Does it do it in 1st and 2nd gear, if not, then I'd be looking at the clutch/ primary drive chain and rear sprockets and chain for stiff spots. If it does it in all gears, then the transmission and gears.

Yeah i tried to reproduce the issue and i was able to do it in all gears i suppose in various amounts. Have to dig into the primary i guess.

I was thinking also about mixture or ignition issues.... but not sure

Was this bike operating 'normally' before this suddenly occured?
How long has the owner had the bike? (so as to reference observed changes)
What other service work (or accident or pothole, etc) did the bike experience before this started?

'rocking back & forth heavily' - Does that mean left to right? or surging power-wise? or engine only rocking forward & backward? or the bike jumping forward (like chain jumping cogs)?
