Get er done!

Looks good Chris.
I'm glad you found a solution.
I guess I didn't think about availability of folks who work on stainless.
Know anybody that welds up pipe at chicken plants?
They do a lot of stainless welding also.
The powdercoat will work fine too.
I had to fab onto the bracket on my exhaust to get it to line up.
Bare metal still but it's thick, hidden and don't bother me.

Does this Extended Reach kit move your feet and legs out wider, too?

Hippy: thanks for the kind words. I'm very pleased with the result (but will return the footboards to 'flat' because I angle my foot up enough to change gear!). I would leave the lever as-is, but Paul said it'd rust around the welds unless I get it finished. Not sure wether to powder or chrome - but there's not especial urgency.

Toejam: from memory (for whatever that's worth!!), I recal a spec sheet that said it moved your feet out by 0.9"/2.28cm. Whatever, the result does not adversly effect comfort. If my feet have got pushed wider, I really can't tell.

Cheers,

Chris
