They will never admit that it was something they did or didn't do. If it were me I would look for an independent shop to do the work. Harley's in general are beyond the acceptable threshold for things gone wrong and warranty repairs. Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Good luck.

Don't know about most people but to me this is unacceptable. Just a sample. The motor co in general.

Don't give up on her, she'll come back around. You have a LOT of memories with that bike and many more to make. They're Survivors!

Any news on a Harley warranty fix? It could be as good as new when you get it back.

I think it would take its time...
Then they have to split the case and inspect exactly the amount of the damages... if limited at the freeplay of the loose crankpin... or if there will be to replace even other components...
then they had to reassemble the whole thing...

True now i'm quite angry and disappointed...
Anyway if i don't receive satisfaction... i think my time with HD is over... for good...

This is the hidden cost of owning a Harley. If I didn't have the resources to work on it myself there is no way I could afford to own one.

not many people have the resources and skill to do a complete rebuild... maybe neither you...

as for the rest... you can do it yourself...
if you have the skill and resources...
but "in primis" if you have time....

otherwise go to the dealer or indy and pay what you have to...
i know very well how it is to own an HD... as since 2001 i own one...

that major failure on my current though... made me think something is changed about reliability... at least about int. markets

a stock and well serviced 883 can't have a broken crankpin at 47 kms...

Here's the thing. Any other make wouldn't be WORTH fixing. You throw them in the scrap heap because they have no value. Plenty of them there too. You just don't find Harleys in a scrap heap.
