Great insight Chris, enlightening to say the least. I feel a bit weary just reading about it!

LOL, The sad part is I probably pushed myself harder on this one than I did in 2017, with the exception of the start of the 2nd leg where I totally fell apart.

The good news is that had I had my head in the game and done what I had set out to I would have finished right where I had hoped to finish so at least my planning is there. If only I could ride what I planned ...

Yeah, maybe so but the truth is you have started, and finished three I.B.R.’s, all on your Sportster, overcoming drama like 70 m.p.h. slides and losing a charging system.not many can make those claims. You are the man!

That is an accomplishment. Chris, it speaks highly of your endurance, drive and skills. It was awesome to meet you at the start and hang out for a little while.

LOL, thanks Paul. There are others who overcame more than I did. I was simply too stubborn to give up after my slide/roll

Great write up, Chris. Can almost feel the fatigue, frustration & finally, the satisfaction.

After 6 weeks i finally got my bike roadworthy after it's little spill , so went for a shakedown run to make sure all was ok.
I only did 65kms and my butt started aching, so the Iron Butt is out for me!

Well done Chris. , Loads of us were rooting for you. Looking forwards to reading pt 3.
